The Wizard of Oz was my first pantomime with the Quince Players, and I had the role of being the sound operator, which not only included operating the sound for the ten show run, but also preparing the show file and sourcing some of the sound effects.
I was called into do this production since they didn't have anyone to do sound and knew that I had an interest in doing tech for a show as I helped run a previous small show titled 'Life, Love Heartache and Hope'. Being involved in this production made me understand this is what I wanted to do for a career and encouraged me to study it at university.
